PROVINCIAL HOUSE USA (CR News) — they’re at it again, those nuns at the old Provincial House, and they seem to have learned a lot about love. According to one sister named Charity, the key to love is to doing it out loud.
“Love is an irresistible force,” Sr. Charity told us.
“That makes it a great evangelization tool,” Sr. Albertina added. “Love out loud, and the world will hear you.”

The Apostle St. Paul tells us, “Be kind to one another, compassionate, forgiving one another as God has forgiven you in Christ.” (Eph 4:32)
St. Paul wasn’t talking about tolerance, folks! The world wants you to tolerate sin and bad behavior. But God doesn’t want that. In fact, God has no tolerance for sin and bad behavior. He sent His only begotten Son to free us from the grip of sin.
God doesn’t just tolerate us. He loves us.
God loves us so much that He sent His Son Jesus to die for us so we would not have to experience the eternal pain and suffering of sin (Jn 3:16). That’s important because we’re sinners — all of us! The Bible reminds us that the wages of sin is death (Rom 6:23). Sin separates us from God Who is the Source of all life.
Life is about love!
Nitty Gritty …
In today’s cartoon, Sr. Charity and Sr. Albertina are kneeling in front of the Holy Eucharist for a special time of adoration. Sr. Charity gets so overwhelmed by the love she feels from being in the real presence of God that she blurts out, “I love what God loves!”
Sr. Albertina, having assurance that God loves her, just assumes that Sr. Charity’s was saying that she loved Sr. Albertina. So Sr. Albertina replies, “I love you too.”
This special moment serves to remind us of a lesson Jesus taught. Our Lord says that all the rules on heaven and earth come down to two, simple commandments. First, love God! And second, love your neighbor as you love yourself: (cf. Mt 22:37-39)
Many faithful people refer to these two commandments as the “great commandments.” They are simple, easy to remember, and powerful when you do it.
Our Story …
Love today and everyday. Love out loud so the world sees what real love looks like. And don’t settle for counterfeits like “tolerance.”
