VATICAN CITY STATE (CR News) — those nuns are at it again! This time their message is a prediction. They tell us that, if the Son of Man comes soon, he’s likely to find faithful ones still following the Way, the Truth, and the Life (Jn 14:6). They have faith in spite of news media channels that no longer concern themselves with truth and accuracy, and an electorate that either doesn’t know the way or care about it anyway. Could it be that God doesn’t need the approval of man?
Let’s talk.
Background
In this Sunday’s Gospel, we meet an elderly widow with no political clout. She was persistent in seeking justice, and her persistence eventually wore down a dishonest judge. He gave her a just decision.
The Nitty Gritty
If the widow’s persistence could get her a just decision from an unjust judge, cannot God secure the rights of his people who are persistent in calling out to him? Of course, God will hear. And he will deliver!
How will that happen? Why is it important? What does it mean to you and to the world around us today?
Be sure to attend mass this coming Sunday for the rest of the story. Listen carefully to the Old Testament and New Testament readings. And focus on what your priest has to say during the homily.
If you haven’t been to confession recently, schedule a time and receive that gift from our Lord soon. And receive the Blessed Sacrament too. Jesus really is present, and he wants to be with you!
Our Story
That’s our story, and we’re sticking to it.
COOL2B
It’s cool to be Catholic. Very COOL2B!
Vivat Jesus!
