DALLAS TX (CR News) — It’s no longer a secret, if it ever was! Catholics pray for their priests and religious people a lot. We also pray for our seminarians, and for vocations too! Because of who we are and what God has called us to do, sometimes prayer intersects with caricature. We draw caricatures — it’s who we are!
Recently, our editorial team saw a post from the Vocations office in the Diocese of Charleston. It highlighted a young seminarian named Colin Doering who was having a birthday. The post was done very well, and we were intrigued!
We assigned a staff writer to visit the page. She was surprised at the quality of marvelous information about our seminarians that the Diocese and seminaries were sharing with people. She also discovered that Colin, the young seminarian, had a really special talent. Of course, we couldn’t resist! We had to get in on the fun too!
So we took it to the next level. We created a humorous, little video that included a 30 second caricature that a staff artist did for us. It’s at the bottom of this page. But before you watch it, we want to encourage all our friends to pray for vocations! And pray for the young seminarians from the Diocese of Charleston and all around the world too!
That’s our story, and we’re sticking to it. It’s cool to be Catholic! COOL2B!
Vivat Jesus!
