Our Story …
Herman and Bishop Bob had a little problem not long ago. Bishop Bob’s Cathedral mouse decided he wanted to become a chivalrous Knight like the members of the Knights of Columbus he had recently met. So he did what any other Cathedral mouse might do — he appealed to his bishop for assistance.
It Is Written …
The Bible tells us that we are to let brotherly love continue (Heb 13:1). Brotherly love is essential to a society and culture that wants to function well. It’s also a key part of the Knights of Columbus.
Charity (love)! Unity (oneness)! Fraternity (brotherhood)! And patriotism (love of home and respect for culture and tradition)! They’re all key ingredients in the knighthood!
Life Goes On …
Well eventually, Bishop Bob and Herman did work out their differences, and Herman got connected with a council not far from the Cathedral. That’s fortunate because, had they not, we wouldn’t have any more “Knight Life” stories to tell you.
It is God’s will that brothers do work out their differences. It’s also an important part of what it means to be a Knight. Knights place a premium on love and oneness and brotherhood. Knights also know that, while they can do a lot of good when they work together, none of us is ever very strong when we work alone.
Anyway, you don’t want to miss what happens next, so be sure to follow this blog. And keep up with us on social media too (Catholic Roads).
By the way, if you are part of the Knights of Columbus and have a local website, why not consider adding “Knight Life” to your website! It’s free. It’s inspirational for your brother Knights. And it’s like having a “digital Lecturer” on your website for your council.
Contact us, and we’ll tell you how to add “Knight Life” to your site.
That’s our story and we’re sticking to it. It’s cool to be Catholic. COOL2B!
