Cutting Grass

We can learn valuable lessons from ordinary events. We can even learn from “cutting grass.” That’s a dear friend and brother’s story today.

When we do ordinary things, they can become so routine that we don’t have to think about them. The blessing is that our minds are free to contemplate other things as we do these types of tasks.

In this particular story, the character Earl considers his relationship with God. Earl presses his Creator for information. At the end of the exchange, Earl doesn’t know much more about God than he did when he began, but he has the Lord’s assurance that he is loved by God.

You, the reader, are left with an unasked question. “Is that enough for you?” Is it enough just to know that God knows you and loves you? Or do you need more from Him?

This folk art does not currently illustrate a Bible study lesson, but we are considering it. Check back to see if we use it as an illustration on the Bible Study Cartoons website.

That’s our story and we’re sticking to it. It’s cool to be Catholic. COOL2B!

In Christ.
